Do Not Disturb

A print exchange and subsequent exhibition I organized and curated discussing tensions around surveillance, privacy, and community.

From the open call posed to participants of Do Not Disturb:

It feels as if we are becoming more private and secluded. We (generally speaking) are hyper-vigilant, paranoid, and distrusting. Doorbell cameras are ubiquitous and people publish videos online of neighbors and delivery drivers for clout or call-out. Do we know those around us? Do we care to? These are things I reflect on and ask myself.

For this print exchange, consider questions, feelings, and tensions around privacy, home, security, peace, seclusion, loneliness, service, community, vigilance, and support. How do you feel about the balance (if there is any) between the peace found in retreat and the erosion of community?
